Hello Readers!!!

Today, I had the chance to interview teen author Jenna Landmon, who wrote the children’s book “Little Paisley Makes a Big Difference”. Jenna had the opportunity to speak virtually to classrooms in an elementary school and talk about her book and her writing process.

I then jumped at the chance to conduct an email interview with her. For me, it is always exciting to meet fellow independent published authors.

I hope you enjoy the interview and be sure to check out “Little Paisley Makes a Big Difference.”

Quotablebooks1: What was your inspiration for “Little Paisley Makes a Big Difference”?

Jenna Landmon: As a child, I was a lot like my character Paisley. I knew other people were in need but did not know how my actions could create change. I was inspired to create this book in order to make sure that as many children as possible know that their actions can impact their communities.

Quotablebooks1: What is your favorite part about writing/being an author?

Jenna Landmon: My favorite part about being an author is the opportunity to go into classrooms and share my book and its message with the students. I hope to encourage all children that they can make a difference at any age, and at the same time, I hope to inspire them to become future authors!

Quotablebooks1: Was there anyone or anything that influenced you to become a writer/write this story?

Jenna Landmon: I think my biggest influence when writing this story was my mother. She always encouraged me to get involved in helping others, which is part of the reason I have such a strong passion for community service today. Since I was a little girl, she believed in me, allowing me to fulfill my dreams.

Quotablebooks1: What is your favorite genre to read and why?

Jenna Landmon: My favorite genre has always been mystery books. I love when there is a problem that I can work to solve throughout the story.

Quotablebooks1: Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Jenna Landmon: Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to write. I never thought I would be an author, but with the extra time at home during the pandemic, I was able to pursue this amazing opportunity.

Quotablebooks1: What were the challenges in writing this novel?

Jenna Landmon: The biggest challenge was trying to publish the book amidst the pandemic. I wanted to get this message out as soon as possible, but there were some delays on the printing and shipping end. Thankfully, this did not hold up the process too much.

Big thanks again to Jenna for taking the time for this interview! Don’t forget to check out her book “Little Paisley Makes a Big Difference”
